sort of a separate question...but i just realised if i used TIE instead of FCOM i'd save 50 slots...wouldn't that improve performance heh. although..it'd be nice to get some feedback from TIE users here, just how good is it compared to FCOM, and where is it lacking?
edit: i must say on the TIE page not much is mentioned regarding to compatibility issues. While FCOM is compatible to just about everything, is TIE the same?
T.I.E. Pros:1. Very small file size (only 3 MB)
2. Extremely easy to install. (Just place TIE.esp in the Data folder, activate, and you're done)
3. Uses only vanilla resources, so there's no need to worry about missing textures and the like.
4. Better immersion than FCOM, but still maintains a slight vanilla feel to it.
5. Stealth is greatly improved
6. TNR (Tamriel NPCs Revamped) is fully integrated, so NPCs have greater diversity.
7. Tamriel Travelers fully integrated, so prepare for fully dynamic and interesting encounters.
8. Fences are scattered throughout cities, so you don't have to join the Thieves Guild just to sell something you stole.
9. All loot and enemies are non-leveled.
10. Realistic wildlife, which actually makes hunting fun and challenging.
T.I.E. Cons: (When compared to FCOM)
1. Not as many items as FCOM.
2. Not as many enemy variations as FCOM.
3. Not modular, so if you see a feature you don't like, you'll have to live with it.
4. Is actually a bit more unforgiving than FCOM at the beginning.
As for compatibility, T.I.E. is NOT COMPATIBLE with any current overhaul mod. If you're looking to use T.I.E. in FCOM, either used http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=18138 or http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=18071. Though it seems in order to be compatible with FCOM, a good amount of key features were taken out. Also note that the files in question are based on older builds of T.I.E., so you won't be getting the same improvements as offered by version 1.38.
