You didn't install QTP3 correctly. That or your Archive Invalidation is not set up properly.

You are seeing the QTP3 textures with the vanilla normal maps. QTP3 supplies its own normals wherever the vanilla normals don't work.

Also, this forum is programmed not to accept image tags. It's not broken, this is to keep the loading times on the pages reasonably quick.

displaying pictures can be disabled by forums admins, not a bug. AFAIK.

I extracted the meshes and textures folders from the archive copied to Data folder.

There's also a patch for QTP3. You think it is causing the issue? Here's that patch: http://www.ressim.net/61/upload/93658791.png

If the issue is my archive invalidation then how can i set it up properly?

ty

EDIT: I checked my Oblivion folder. There was no archive invalidation.txt whatsoever. Do i need it?

This whole Oblivion modding thing is harder than learning C++. OMOD, Wyre Bash, FCOM ... each has shizload of details...

What are you guys doing? Is this possible to understand anything here? I'm serious. This is so confusing for a starter.

There's plenty of starter guides out there, like http://tesivpositive.animolious.com/ for instance.

If you want to learn more about Archive Invalidation, http://devnull.sweetdanger.net/archiveinvalidation.html

You know... There's a readme AND... a image of how your archive invalidation should look like. At least, there were some in my download. IIRC, you can set it up with OBMM, click on utilities and select archive invalidation, use this settings: http://razetheworld.s3.amazonaws.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/archive-invalidation.jpg
and you're done.

PS. I took the settings from google, but they're the same in my AI, so I think it's good. Try this and re-post some pictures. ;)

Disagree. Use BSA Redirection. Set it and forget it. Works every time.

Concur with the disagree - BSA Alteration is only good for those who know what they are doing ... even then they can come un-stuck with a complex setup. I gave up using it ages ago.

BSA Redirection works just as well, and is the default in both OBMM and Wrye Bash (should you get into using either of those).
