quake con demo

Post » Sat Nov 28, 2015 9:38 am

Forgot to bring this up in the previous post. I know that the demo at quake con has been a see it or you don't thing but I'm poor and busy so I didn't get to watch the live feed of quake con and so missed seeing the demo. Bethesda could you pretty please make that demo available for viewing for the sake of your fans who didn't have the time or the money to go to quake con or watch the demo online

Nobody who wasnt there got to watch it. Gotta wait for them to release their version like the rest of us.

There was no stream of the demo. Only the people who were physically at the GamesCon were able to see it.

But here is a good article about the demo:

there was at least one Audio stream that was already hit with a Take down from Bethesda and supposedly a second was also hit, beyond that we just don't have that much.

More the one demo goer noted that there where big, professional grade cameras pointed at the stage, so I suspect we will get a similar video like the E3 videos somewhere down the line.

Makes me wonder if China or Bethesda is in charge.

Must be 2077 already.

I think it was a weak attempt to make some totalitarian state reference.

Bethesda's marketing is their choice.

The need to 'demand' that demos be shown or provided and to suggest that Bethesda is a communist state if they do otherwise,

probably did not merit the 'wut', let alone this reply...

To paraphrase Todd Howard, they want to show the Quakecon Attendees the game so far, without having fuzzy, shaky, low res, vids of an unfinished product show up around the world.

And they appreciated our understanding.

And it is their right to only show the clip to those who have agreed with their request.

The clip looked pretty much done to me so I expect we will be seeing it released soon.

You do realize that closed door demos have been a common practice in the video game industry for a few decades, right?

Not going to happen, but following the live blog during the event lead me to believe not much more was truly revealed

For them to show it to us when they think the time is right and not a moment sooner.

The term "live blog" refers to a blog post about an event that is updated live as it is happening. Example:

5:30- Todd Howard comes on stage
5:35- Todd in disbelief about how many people are here
5:40- Showing neat concept art
5:55- FALLOUT 4 RELEASE DATE MOVED TO 8-15-15!
6:45- Came back from the ER. Hearing loss only temporary.

Be careful with making jokes like that. It's not nice to tease us old timers.

I could only wish for an 8-15-15 release. Le sigh.

Of course, that would eliminate my current goal of 2,000 official Skyrim hours before Fallout 4. I would trade that perch for Fallout 4 though. :)

My bad, the ellipsis made it read to me like you didn't know what a live blog was, so I felt like I had to explain.

creepy & awesome at the same time.

Primary reason is that the media who is was invited get the ability to publish their previews.

This give them sales and the game get previews.

Later the publish the video for more hype.
