PC Quality

Or they appeal to even more console gamers and get even more money. They're also making the console versions similar, meaning they aren't taking advantage of the advantages both the PS3 and 360 offer over each other.. so why should they make an exception for PCs?

Why would not releasing content on PC make something appeal to console gamers more? Do you really think there are more console gamers who are willing to buy something out of some misplaced hatred of a platform than there are PC gamers?

As for the second question, because the difference between the two consoles, and the difference between the consoles and PCs, are in different orders of magnitude. The consoles are effectively as powerful as each other, a half decent gaming PC is a dozen or more times as powerful. The two situations are not comparable.

Sorry... They said it would be a new engine... But its Gamebryo moded edition. They made some changes to the engine and decided to do the PR talk and say its a new engine. sadly it will be the same **** :(

They tore down an old abandoned apartment building and built a theme park on top of it, metaphorically speaking. It's definitely not the same.

Here is a interesting thing...

Lets say they did what you said here.
Why would they use the engine anyway if they are going rebuild it from the ground up. In that case they might as well start fresh.

Sorry but in the core its the same engine. Alot of engines get some changes made to them before they start to make a game. It would be more like "they had a old abandoned apartment and they threw some new paint at it. Same building, same base, same walls and everything. Just new paint.

No, but I think that people would be more inclined to buy the console versions if they come with something the PC version doesn't. I have a PC, a 360, and a PS3. If I had planned on getting Skyrim for only my PC, but found out that the 360 and PS3 came with more content, I'd get it for them as well. That's two games sold when it might only have been one, and I doubt the people who are loyal to the TES series would not buy it at that point.

That doesn't justify it at all. It's the same game being sold for the same price. If they're going to continue doing that, they'd be better off making two completely different games: one for consoles, and the other for PCs.

It's not the same engine, since all major features have been rewritten. Hopefully in better ways than before, lol.

When basically everything major had been rewritten, they thought they'd call it their own, new engine. Unless you know how to build a game engine, I think I'm gonna take Bethesda's words over yours.

I agree with this. DICE is doing it with Battlefield 3. The game will still be available on console, but if you want the full/best experience, you will need a PC. It's not punishing the console community, but allowing PC owners who have the high-end hardware to take advantage of their rigs. PCs clearly cost more because they are technologically far more advanced than consoles, so logically the games should follow suit. However, it's just easier and cheaper for game developers to make the same experience (generally on console first) for everyone.

Those "graphic enhancing mods" you'll be waiting for will just be texture replacers. And that can only do so little compared to other things.
You'll most likely never get a graphics extender mod for Skyrim. And if it does come, be prepared to wait several years for its release, and a several years again for DX 11 features to get added.

TES VI will be out by the time they add DX11 features to Skyrim. If we are lucky by then TES VI will have DX11 on a new console generation as well. Of course also by then PC's will be using something like DX13 if we are even still using DX at all by then. /sigh Makes me sad to think of the games we could be having today if not for having to work on 6 year old hardware all the time.
