quality of the demo

i've been waiting in silence for a bit, havent been back here in a while.

NOT LONG NOW THOUGH!

anyway i guess most of you know about the gears3 beta at moment, which i got through bulletstorm, well i just wanted to say that the BRINK demo i played last year, quality wise, was so much better than this gears3 beta. I know they arent the same game but there was an interview with epic that stated the game was finished and the beta would polish the game. HAH. it needs more work than they thought, they couldnt even get enough servers running for the beta. A finished game should have had servers ready if it was a game using servers. i dont like how devs lie about their games now a days to hype them up.

i dont remember anyone saying BRINK was finished when i played the demo/beta but damn i'd have bought it from that one level i played. i'm hoping since last year they have done some more to it and given it the polishing it deserves. im 90% sure than BRINK shall not disappoint me. going by my experience when i played it :) leaving a 10% chance i'll be a sad man in may. So anyway i congratulate SD on the demo/beta last year ^.^

i look forward to seeing you all on the battlefield ^.^ my girlfriend is away for 3 months so im gonna be gaming a lot to keep me happy :P

sorry if this post is a bit pointless

Is this bashing GoW or stating the obvious?

Anyhoo, the game probably hasn't changed much from the demo when talking about actual gameplay. The UI looks slightly different (more polished) and the stats (health, pips, weapon damage) have been finalised. That's it.

ah i didnt wanna bash at it but just stating the obvious i guess :P i was just impressed with quality compared to some more recent ones ive played. GoW being the most recent which is why i used it lol

there was one extra question though actually. regarding OHK, there aren't meant to be any are there? unless buffed against a light unbuffed? but i see many in videos, are they just AI? as in usually AI in campaigns are weaker than when you play online with players.

Headshot with heavier weapons on an unbuffed light says Ed Stern in newish interview.

If a person's already taken damage, they'll go down faster - a lot of games show instant kills with weapons by cutting out the part where the guy was damaged beforehand. Also, there are times someone will go down from an explosion, but won't actually be incapacitated, so that's probably part of it as well - just because they fall, doesn't mean they've been taken out of the fight.
