Hey guys,

So I'm supposed to be doing the Liberation of Skyrim quest chain and I'm up to Hjaalmarch, specifically the Fort Sunguard section.

Anyway I'm not sure what's happened because I'm supposed to meet up with the Stormcloak soldiers and take the fort however when I get there, all the imperial soldiers are dead and there doesn't seem to be any way to complete the quest.

I've done a search but the only solution seems to be to re-load back (god knows how many saved games ago), and I'm not too sure if that will even help.

Any answers?

The Civil War is crazy bugged. I've had this bug and had to reload a few times. Have you tried a fresh install?

PC or 360?

I have had a bug similar to this one where enemy soldiers failed to show up.

The only fix I found was to reload a save before the bug occured, which in my case was the first quest of the chain, the one for the Jagged Crown.

PC.

Unfortunately I've had the quest since around level 3 or so and I'm level 30 now... don't think re-loading is an option haha.

Ouch! It looks like you're going to have to go the Season Unending route unless you want to start nearly over without any choice in the matter.

Since you're on PC, install Unofficial Patches immediately if you haven't. They can't repair damage already done but can prevent further damage.
