quest glitch? READ HERE

SOOOOOOOOoooooo,

i have gotten into a few quest glitches, but when doing a quest in mcarren finding the spy, i got bugged. the quest told me to find the spy in the waypoint area, i went in, he asked me what i was doing there end of convo we fight he dies i go back to report him to whats his face to complete the quest.. i get info that he is going to blow the monorail and to stop the bomb from going off. so off i go to stop the bomb i leave the building and face my waypoint, problem was the waypoint was on the general or whats his face again to talk to him. i spoke to him and he had nothing new to say. this was my bug, i had no waypoint to the monorail.

at this point i got agrivated and loaded a recent save to do the quest over again and see if i missed something, well i did.

when going into the tower the quest abruptly tells me to listen in on the spys convo, after i listen to it, the quest then tells me to continue so on so forth the quest is completed normally..

im wondering if these quests arent being completed correctly in some way or another, when entering the door to the tower i was not forced to stop and listen to the convo nor was there enough warning to stop walking (very short distance between the player and the spy) when i did it the third time to see if it was my fault or the game, i saw it was the game, the topic of stopping to listen to the convo was not there at all unless i stopped at the door for a moment (i tend to rush right in unless directed not to prior).

so i suppose my point is to save frequently and try the quest again if you fail the first time taking these precautions, if the result is that the game was faulty please explain what occured in the events that were taken and if you had to think for the system in order to pass the quest. if you went out of order did you fail the quest? or DID THE QUEST LET YOU continue until you hit a wall. obviously a proper patch would be pre warnings and notice of failed quests. though the only time i failed a quest is when a follower got killed, other wise theres always been an optional to take a diff path. otherwise i ran into a wall like spoken up above.

I have tried everything with this quest as well, but the monorail always explodes. One time my game froze right after I went through the door to the monorail; so, I reloaded and continued. This ONE TIME I managed to get on the monorail - usually it races off before I get near it, even if I strip down to my underwear, take Fie Ant Nectar for increased agility, etc - anyway, I managed to get on the monorail, and found the bomb, disarmed it, including having a screen note that said I had successfully disarmed the bomb; however, when I got off the monorail it took off and blew up anyway! WTF!!!! :brokencomputer:

the monorail exploding isn't really a problem. The NCR fixes it soon after so no worries.
