--solved-- Thanks for your help guys

I'm doing the Companion's Quest "Trouble in Skyrim" but I already cleared out Rannveig's Fast and Sild the Warlock is already dead.

When I go there again he is dead, but the quest icon still hovers over his head.

What do?

EDIT: I played around with the resurrect command, which works great - on everyone but this Sild. It seems like left clicking his dead body is not giving me the correct NPC code, but the resurrect command refuses to work with it. The NPC code that appears on the screen gets an invalid object ID error.

EDIT: It seems like the object ID I am being given is the ID for the ground/floor or something. It's like his body is there but the data isn't.

SOLUTION: I figured out a solution. I went back to a previous save where he was still alive, and used that to check his NPC code. When I went back to load my current save, and I looked at his body, his correct NPC code was shown, and the resurrect code worked.

I hate leaving a quest in stuck-mode like this - my OCD can't handle it.

PC? Use the revive command, can't remember it precisely but there is one.

Console? Well reload or leave it I guess.

PC = no problem: console command revive or necromance him. Think after clicking on the npc its something like .revive or .resurrect

Console = well, another problem with these things ey. Guess you gotta reload last saved game before you killed him.

How do I figure out Sild's npc code?

Well I played with the kill/resurrect command on my follower, which worked fine, but I can't get it to work on the dead body of Sild....

I think there is something wrong with his NPC code - the only thing I can get to come up is "000e2072" which will not work with any commands.

When I try to resurrect 000e2072 I get "unknown variable" for his NPC code...

Just click on the body while in console mode and type resurrect into it. Voila. Silly npc codes.

I have also a question about the companions quest. After the Bloods Honor quest I think the Purity of Revenge quest should automaticaly start However it doesnt start. Does anyone know how to solve this?
Btw I play on Ps3

Damn, i've got the same issue on Xbox, but unfortunately any save I had when Sild was alive is over a week old at least so that's not an option - please FIX as it's stopping me from playing a nice chunk of the game.....

PS my rather weak resurrection spell doesn't work on him - if I level up on resurrection magic, will i eventually be able to bring him back to life do you think?
