Quest Idea i had, The Slender Man

All the Links have different pictures, i suggest you click them all
I was just wondering through Video on youtube when i came across this idea for a quest for http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://cdn1.knowyourmeme.com/i/33259/original/f3265cac72daf93935847abb1b2264807d90ff3d.jpg%3F1262502147&imgrefurl=http://connect.in.com/slender-man/photos-1-1-1-415afa21fb2f0925657ab0f38d5d4786.html&usg=__6gJ1umHgzLyA7OoWqbSr46Y4ysY=&h=576&w=768&sz=66&hl=en&start=489&sig2=bh66EgQ-ATtWnHMC7hn4vg&zoom=1&tbnid=UrlH82zsDN50eM:&tbnh=129&tbnw=202&ei=d9f6TaO4O4bkiAKCuN3JCQ&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dthe%2Bslender%2Bman%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DN%26biw%3D1345%26bih%3D583%26tbm%3Disch&chk=sbg&um=1&itbs=1&iact=rc&dur=87&page=21&ndsp=24&ved=1t:429,r:0,s:489&tx=154&ty=68
You come across a dead man with a bloody dagger in the middle of the woods, the The man has a note on him and a diary that tells about his last moments, most of its gibberish with phrases like "WHAT DOES HE WANT" "get out of my head" "its limbs are many and long!" "THERE IS ONLY ONE WAY OUT" and afew pictures of a man with multiple long limbs in the distance. you find a small carved wooden figure near the bloody dagger. As you pick it up just to observe it you notice its a man, you then put it down and continue your journey...moments later a messge *you feel a suddenly cold chill crawl up your spine* followed by a *wooden figure added to inventory* you turn around and notice http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://s4.hubimg.com/u/3175415_f520.jpg&imgrefurl=http://hubpages.com/hub/slenderman&usg=__rmQLm1NrrpIg-d_MmgKu3HOl0_c=&h=346&w=520&sz=24&hl=en&start=0&sig2=T86PCczBWX6Wljgdt22-aw&zoom=1&tbnid=u--IjA-V2YPkdM:&tbnh=131&tbnw=175&ei=wc36TcXzCqrSiAL_-bWZBQ&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dthe%2Bslender%2Bman%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DN%26biw%3D1345%26bih%3D583%26tbm%3Disch&um=1&itbs=1&iact=rc&dur=85&page=1&ndsp=24&ved=1t:429,r:7,s:0&tx=94&ty=101 is following you from a far distance, you barley see him. You find it harder and harder to ignore him. You try sprinting towards him only to find him vanish from thin air. He Stalks you constantly on your journey, sometimes appearing outside a window or little cutsense of him over you as you sleep.
After 4 days you start to hear voices and wispers in your head, and sometimes a sudden scream
After 8 days your Magica and Stamina take longer to recharge
After 12 days the voices get louder and more frequent, also more random visits from the

After 16 days you are unable to sleep due to paranoia, you will get a message like "cant sleep hes watching" or
"as you lay down the voices become louder and louder making sleep impossible"
The source of this this evil seems to be coming from the wooden man you picked up on the body in the woods...you are unable to drop it as it keeps reappearing in your bags afew seconds after.
Talking to Villagers you find someone who knows about the curse and can help you. He gives you the origin of the

now how the quest can end is up to someone else, it could be severl things, maybe the curse can be broken by making someone willingly accept the wooden man, this can happen by tricking someone into taking the toy driving them insane after, or a way to destroy the wooden man, but its upto the person who takes this idea, so what do you think?

Silly goon.

Despite his lore, Slender Man is more of a Fallout villain, if anything.

I like the idea, but the timeline seems a bit bulky and impractical. Skyrim is an Action-RPG, not a horror game. Having these constant visitations would detract from the rest of the game and dilute the core action.

Overall, I'd prefer a reference or a short quest ala Shadow over Hackdirt than something this complex.

I think Skyrim can pull it off, just a suggestion though maybe ill make a questline/ mod or some else
it would be cool to see it if Bethesda added it

No seriously, what do they link to, because I really won't click on them unless I know and I get freaked out by stuff really easy. And your comment didn't really help, now I'm just more paranoid to click them! Damn /x/ and their freaky ass mascot.

They all have pictures of a shady looking character. The first one has him just look like a shadow at like mid range from the camera, not too close and not too far to see. The middle one has him standing far away in the distance in a foggy forest so they should not be like an instant freak out. Only the last picture has a bit of a "in your face here you go freak out" effect with the depicted character being right in the face of the camera, looking slightly different from the other two though.

So if you get scared easily then the first two may be oki but the last one may not be.

http://www.mythicalcreaturesguide.com/page/Slender+Man

I would like people to know actual information on this made up 'Mythological creature'. OP I will ask you kindly to put this link at the bottom of your post as extra information on the myth created through copy pasta. People deserve to know what the slender mans myth entails for a better decision. I for one thing if done right would be cool, But, Isn't in Skyrim lore, So i doubt it.

I only get the "open in new tab/window" options and the copy link, send link, save link as, and bookmark link options.

Probably because it's more of a modern myth.

Agreed, it's a great idea, but I would never be able to bring myself to do it in game, and if I did, I'd probably end up doing it at 12 AM, with all the lights on, all the blinds open, and making my friend come over and sit next to me while I did it.

They would have to switch the Slender Man with someone that would fit the ES lore better, but I wouldn't mind quests like this.

ROFL i mean it can add a creepyness to the game, one of those quest that when you look back at TES you look back at that quest one quest and say Dam that was scary
BUT reading the commets it does seem like a fallout thing

BUT IM SURE gamesas can make it into a Skyrim thing, and it can reappear in fallout
