[RELz] Quest Log Manager

Well I put in Kyoma's updated and this (which I really really want to use) and the result was that none of the map filters seemed to work.

And all the map markers were set to full description so the filters were all off (or is it on). Cluttering the map.

I may remove the map filters as I'd rather have this.

Hmmm - well which replacer should load first?
Do you use the DarkUI version or the normal one? I forgot to test the DarkUI version so there's a chance I messed something up.

With the update to http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=22163 do I need to wait further for an update to this as well?

Kyoma will help you with the filter things, but to get QLM to work, you must either wait for an update, or open the map_menu.xml file installed by UI Additions and search for the one place it says "<_enableQLM> 0 ", and change the 0 to 1.

But I noticed that kyoma forgot to add the sort button from QLM (or used the older QLM file), so you lose out the sort option - but I hope kyoma can add that button in a 2.3.1 version ;)

Well if have BAIN put Kyoma's version in first then I get all markers unfiltered and fully described.

If I put yours in first then I get http://i361.photobucket.com/albums/oo54/psymon11b/UIAdditionsQLM.jpg and QLM does not work.

So for now I will take Kyoma's out as this is more essential, but hoping one day for both and have faith that something will get worked out.

Then also a general question for those who might know ... is there any program I can use to view xml files as they will appear in the game?

I have a similar problem as psymon when i use the Updated darkUI map additions and then load QLM (minus the XML's from QLM) then I get Blank info where the names should pop up. Now if I install only QLM then I get every name. Now in either case I can click on anything and the pop up to fast travel occures. The mods are updated to the latest for QLM MMO and Darn's map additions.

Ok, I think I sorted it out. I've uploaded v2.3.1 and it should now have the new sorting button aswell as a working DarkUI'd version. Please try it out and let me know if there are still any problems. Just install DarNifiedUI Additions after QLM. :)

Also, until TheNiceOne releases a tiny update you should add this line to your ini so that the QLM-components are turned on.
setmenufloatvalue "map_background\map_contents_3_4_5\map_log_window\map_log_current_hidden\_enableQLM" 1023 1


P.S. I made a slight alteration with the 'Sorting' button, I moved it from below the 'Current/Hidden' button to the left of the button. Previously the 'Sorting' button was partially inside the quest log window overlapping with the first quest in the list.

P.P.S. I got an idea for an alternative to the 'ABC/123' text. Why not simply use 'Date/Name' for their respective sorting methode?

P.P.P.S..... (is this even possible :P).....It seems changing the height for the pane window (what I mentioned a couple of posts back) works like a charm. I added this bit of code to QuestLogVisibility and the scrollbar changed accordingly. Although you'd need to do a little more, currently when I switch from 'Current<->Hidden' the scrollbar isn't updated until a quest is moved (you probably know why so I'll leave that stuff out). Happy hunting...modding. :hehe:

Ok Kyoma I added the line to Quest log manager.INI like you said after I downloaded the update and added installed it correctly and over wrote the xml files. then went it and changed 0 to 1 for enable QLM inside map Menu xml, and saved that. then started game and waited everything to sort its self out. I then checked out if I was still having the same problems Both local and reginal maps had Icons but no Names when I hover over the Icons a pop up occures but it is blank. Now having said this I found a Problem that I just noticed but I dont know if anyone else has seen so It maybe just me when current quests is sellected (tab) and you sellect show Hidden the TITLE area "current Quests and Hidden Quests" Overlap each other at the top of the screen making a Blurring text so the current quest text stays present when it should not. I have taken Pics of the problems that I have But I am going to try to see if I can do a reload of these mods to sort this out. If I cannt then will upload them for you.

If you'd like to do a little bit of testing I wanna ask you to try it again. Assuming the problem is the same (very likely) could you PM me the content of a couple of XML files? You can open them with any normal text editor (notepad, etc.). Mainly these files

Good. I will test it, and plan to update QLM (no new xml), but where it enables the QLM buttons, so that users don't have to set it themselves.

Kyoma the Flags are fixed for the site markers, I can confirm that :foodndrink: congrats. But the overlapping text is still present when you are looking at the hidden quests. But to both you and theniceone, I would like to say thank you for your hard work on these mods. I enjoy both Mods Very much. :bowdown:

Finally, it took a while but in the end everything worked out great. Although I would have prefered doing it right from the start but I guess you can't have everything in life. :P

Well I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

If I have the QLM (1.2) replacers last then all the locations are again illustrated and the buttom to turn them off is not there. If I have the Darn UI additions (2.3.2) last then they work, but then QLM does not work (no button and no arrows).

I'm willing to try again but want the recommended install order for replacers please.

Did you enable QLM in the map menu xml line number is about 1048 0 needs to be changed to 1

Can't recall if I mentioned this, but I had to remove this mod because it was stopping my game whenever I would click on the Unfinished Quest list. It froze it. Removed the mod, and it was back to normal.

Which ini the QLM ini or the Oblivion ini - I assume QLM - if so then does it matter where? Like this:

Hmm I seem to be having a new issue but I'm not 100% sure it is from either this or UI additions. Need to test a bit more.

You know how with the inventory tabs you can compress and expand different sections - like keys or books, but that you can't do this while in a barter or inventory exchange window?

Well now I can't do it at all even when there is no barter or inventory.

Also since I started using Duke's new Hypothermia mod I again activated Kuertee's Eat and Sleep and it offers an in-game menu you activate by clicking on a fork in your inventory - when I activate it nothing happens. That may have nothing to do with these two mods, but I think the first issue does. Kuertee is long gone so not sure what to do there.

I've done a few updates and have now gone back through and looked for mods that add/alter menus and these are still the main mods that do that.

That's presumably the Eat and Sleep related bug, because other users of his mod reported the same issue at TESNexus.

OK it is not QLM or UI additions that removed that, but I've not ruled out EE or Display Stats yet.

... and it seems that the latest Kuertee Eat and Sleep not worky - other aspects of it are bugged - not recognizing when I eat may revert to earlier version - I think I had no issue with 1.6.1.

[edit] if you look at the inventory menu screenshot of the http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=11280 you will see that the word weapons is seen twice - the second one allows you to expand and contract that section of the inventory.

I somehow lost that ability as seen http://i361.photobucket.com/albums/oo54/psymon11b/UIbadness.jpg.

[edit] having just tested all NiceOne mods - I must admit the problem persists - sorry if I jumped the gun on finding the fault. apologies

But now I'm lost as to what could be causing that???????????

Hmmm, just tried it myself and everything seemed to work correctly. How did you install things? BAIN or OMOD or manual? I recommend installing DarNifiedUI Additions last by hand to make sure all of its files are copied. Perhaps with either of the other two methodes one or more files didn't get copied like they should. :unsure:
