Quest not disappearing?

Post » Fri Jan 15, 2016 3:32 am

In FO4 i received a quest of Preston Garvey to go and investigate a kidnapping at Abernathy Farm, however i didnt complete the quest and failed it. At the same time as failing it Preston was my companion. (Im unsure if that has anything to do with it) But now the mission is stuck in my Pipboy and wont go.

Any help?

Failure to free the kidnapped settler in a timely manner will result in the failure of the quest.

Does the quest say failed in your quest inventory?

Reload and do it again.

No, the quest says 'Talk to Preston Garvey' with a tick to the side. Whenever i confront Preston the quest doesnt turn in. Its just left there in my Pipboy

I have the same problem with a "Defend Tenpines Bluff" quest. I think the quest triggered at the same time as Taking Independence for me while Preston was my companion. I don't remember if I got the "mission failed" pop-up. It's stuck in my active quest log with "Talk to Preston Garvey" grayed out. Kind of annoying. I hope it doesn't break any future quests since this was way too far back to reload.
