Quest sysem

i was reading some news on skyrim and i remember reading about this generic quests that the game would create for you so you would visit places you never been before. Well i thought that would be amazing but then i started playing oblivion again and i think that they could try to implement a quest system that would keep you playing for ages even after the end of the main campaign. i would love if the game allowed you to create a city and see it grow trough either pre-created quests in the beginning just to bring more depth into the story and then i assume the game would take over creating quests to develop your city further. i think this system would be pretty cool and could bring a lot of hours into the game and it would also create a place you would actually care about. well this was just an idea i had and wanted to share anyway of course the concept could be way more fleshed out with negative impacts for the city on quest fails and inactivity (the city could start having criminals, drug use etc...) it could even be used as an income system making you take care of the city in order to get revenue and a lot more stuff!

Dont think this would work too well. THough it would be amazing if it WAS to be handled properly, though again, i doubt it'll be possible any time soon.

IMO, I think that automatic quests would be boring and add little to the game. Doing this would make it more similar to WoW, and I dont like WoW.

they are already implementing automatic quests to some degree if i heard right i just dont know whats the rate at which they are created

their system is probably going to work just fine i just wonder how is the text for the quests created (is it choosen from a pre-made set of sentences?) and i think if Bethesda liked the idea they could probably make it work right.
