Questgiver died - can't turn in?

Post » Sun Jul 27, 2014 6:25 pm

Hello!

I got a quest from Aela from the Companions to kill a Silverhand Leader. Unfortunately, Aela had an 'acciden't. She was my follower and I accidentally hit her in the head with an arrow, while she was kneeling (yielding)...

Long story short, I'm unable to complete the quest, since she is dead.

Is there anything to do about that?

Can't you load your last save before "the accident?"

It's a looooong way back. Hadn't considered that she was a questgiver, unfortunately.

Didn't you say you got the quest from her? That's kind of a tip-off that she's a quest giver, isn't it?

If you're on PC I suppose you could try to resurrect her via the console.

Haha, well, yes. But this is my first time playing Skyrim. There are so many quests and questgivers.. it's hard to keep track ;-)

How does one go about resurrecting her? From what I can see, I need to find her body to do that.. and I got a feeling, that the body is now decomposed and rotting in a dungeon somewhere...

You need to use this console command.

Just a tip. If want to have your followers essential then I recommend the http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/15524 mod and there is also a AFT Readme book in your inventory to read.
