So, I'm trying to make my story for my Argonian in Skyrim. Problem is, I want him to be related to my Oblivion/Morrowind Argonian. But I don't know how family timelines work for Argonians. Argonians can change genders in their lives, so that kind of messes it up. Do Argonians have a choice on if they change genders?
Don't know exactly how to explain, and I can't find much information on how Argonians reproduce. Do, ya, a lore lecture would be nice. Thanks
Argonians breed, and when they reach advlthood, they lick the Hist, become one with the Hist, and the Hist changes the argonian based upon what it wants the argonian to do.
As for gender changing, you got the idea all wrong. The argonians see themselves as extensions of the Hist. In addition, the argonians lack any sort of time placement in their language, showing that they see time as an illusion. In this case, referring to genders as "life phases" would make sense in the context that they
- Do not view time linearly
- Believe to be extensions of the Hist and are soul recycled through them
So, when they die, they're also born again in a new body.
Also, the only mention of their gender changing "life phases" was only in the Morrowind manual, and no mention of this has ever been said. Ever. Only the manual. Nothing else. Take it with a [censored] ton of salt, and ignore the gender changing life phase stuff.
