Question about BAIN loading

Post » Thu Jan 13, 2011 3:37 pm

I have a mod that uses (and subsequently over-writes) the resources of a couple other mods. I'm wondering how I can load this new mod while keeping the current resource-mod relationship. Normally for something like this I would just use OMOD and choose 'do not replace anything'. But this new one uses a wide variety of meshes/textures/loot across 2 big mods, so I'd like to keep track of everything. Any help is appreciated :)

p.s. The new mod in question is Cyrodiil NPC Remodeling Project, and it draws from OOO + Race Balancing Project.

Just put it before the mods whose files you don't want to be overwritten in Installers tab.

Change the mod installation hierarchy. Do this by right-clicking on the mod and selecting "Move-To". If I understand you correctly, move the mod you don't want to overwrite files with to a position before the other mod. If the other mods isn't in a BAIN package, uninstall it and make it a BAIN package.

It's really that simple eh? Thanks for the info :) Fortunately the other mods are proper packages and not simple ones, so I won't have to mess with them.

Even easier still - with Wrye Bash you can now drag and drop both mods in the load order and BAIN packages in the install order.

Ah, I did not know that. That is a useful feature.
