Question about AA complaints..

The biggest complaint that I've heard against AA is that it takes the ability/skill to have to manage your energy out of the game (which no doubt, it does).

If you share this reason- could someone please explain to me why no one seems to be complaining about unlimited sprint and jump??
Unlimited Sprint and Jump are much more beneficial attributes than AA.
Sure AA protects you from those OHK's, but U.S./U.J. have saved my ass 1000 times more often. Plus U.S. can actually get the you more kills by being able to get to the targets quicker. Just doesn't seem to make any sense that everyone has seemed to single out AA as the sole 'made the game easier by not requiring energy management' change from C2, when at most it's just one of three.

Hopefully someone could shine some light on why only AA should go when good 'energy management' has worked it's way out of the game on multiple levels?

One last thing, did Crytek actually say that they added AA so that the game would be easier for beginners? I don't see that at all, if that was the case they would have made it cap. I believe they added AA along with Unlimited Sprint, Unlimited Jump and Maneuverability to make the game more fast paced and more exciting which I feel it has.

Yes, Crytek did indeed say that Auto Armor was designed to be a crutch for new players to learn the game.

As for the other things like unlimited sprint and jump, I haven't ever complained about them because I LOVE IT. I do actually like Crysis 1's system of energy usage better, but the current setup is so much better than C2's so I'm overall happy. Also if it were up to me, everyone would have Maneuverability by default. Lol.

That's really interesting. And at the same time makes no sense. So I don't know if you're actually quoting them or not, but lets assume that you are...

"..was designed to be a crutch (aid) for new players to learn the game" Well since the module is there for anyone to use at any level than most likely they actually meant "..was designed to make the game easier to play everyone especially beginners".
To say that they actually thought players would just somehow just stop using something that powerful at a certain point is crazy. They knew players would continue to use it, that's why they made it a perk and not built in like Unlimited Sprint/Jump. They tried to create a 'trade-off' for using it- unfortunately for most players there is nothing more helpful except for Maneuverability.

Long story short- if Unlimited Sprint or Unlimited Jump were modules people would be complaining about them to. What it really comes down to is this- player A chooses to use something and player B refuses to use it and then complains about player A choosing to do so. All that matters in the end is that Crytek makes a fair for all user game.

Sorry but I'd love to not have Mr. Fatsuit back. Obviously some sort of energy management system is better like in Crysis 1, but Crysis 3's unlimited sprint and jump is a hell of a lot better than Crysis 2's.

In fact the movement system in C2 was one of the biggest criticisms. It isn't perfect in C3 but it's a hell of a lot better. Made me a happy-er camper, at least.
