So if i get a dark elf racial motif, i can now craft all armor i can make in dark elf style? Iron, steel, dwarven, daedric? Or no?

Unrelated, but where did you find those? Is there some kind of pattern as to where these spawn?

I understand that they are random. And can be found about every and any where.

Yes you can but armor motif =/= armor level or strength. And yes the drop rates are random, my advice on finding them would just be to open everything you can, baskets, desks, crates, etc. I found Breton (twice), High Elf, and Imperial this way.

Iirc, they are 100% random drop off enemies.

found all mine in containers, i think mainly desks, drawers, cupboards etc

Nope, got mine from containers. One was a desk and i think the other was a basket.

Well i got a breton motif off an enemy

I found an orc motif in a chest out on a rock in a newbie area, a dark elf one in a cabinet in one of the many ships you go on, and another one (not sure which) in a basket somewhere... I think they are just pure random, can drop anywhere, out or off of anything...
