Question about Daedric Armor

Post » Thu Dec 15, 2011 7:33 am

Hey guys, so I had a question about daedric armor dealing with Conjuration and Smithing.

So I found out you can make daedric armor once you reach lvl 90 in conjuration at the atronach forge, and I was wondering if...

1. I could enchant it after making it, or if it comes pre-enchanted and cant be enchanted to your liking

2. Can I still upgrade it to Legendary if I raise my Smithing to 100, but just avoid perking in it?

Anybody have any info on this?

Mighty thanks!

Get it to 90 and make your own daedric armor then enchant it conjuration the armor itself and you can upgrade legendary.

To get armor/weapons to legendary without the double improvement perk, you need 160+ smithing I think. So if you have 100 smithing and NPC smithing gear, and NPC smithing potion then yes you can make it legendary. It still wont be near as strong as with the perk.

If you want to upgrade a suit of Daedric armor to Legendary without taking the associated smithing perk, I believe you'll need to find a way to raise smithing to ~180. Don't quote me on that number though.

Dont worry about making it legendary as the game gets easy on master so if you like the look of daedric then go for it.

According to Wiki, creating Daedric armour in the Atronach forge will give you an armour piece with a random enchantment.

To be honest it would be easier just to make it at the normal smithy and put your own enchantments on it.

which double improvement perk? sorry, I'm looking through the trees and I cant seem to find it.
*nevermind i see its associated w/ the actual daedric smithing perk!

So does the daedric armor you can conjure also come in an unenchanted version? So far Ive only read it being enchanted when you conjure it.

I only ask because if i can improve it to legendary and enchant it myself, then i save a few perks from not having to invest in the smithing tree for it. I wouldnt throw all the perks into the smithing tree if i could just make it through conjuration and then enchant it myself. and hopefully still get it up to legendary with 100 smithing just not by perking in it
