I've been messing around on Hearthfire for two days now and I don't really understand what is happening when decorating the house.

I'll go to a work bench and have many options for things I can craft, sometimes I can craft many things, then other times after I craft one thing, the list empties and the other options aren't there anymore. I'll leave the bench for a moment, go back, then all the options are there again.

It doesn't show me where these objects are being placed, so I'm not sure if I'm buying the same things twice, or crafting a different object for the same spot in the house.

When I started decorating for the first time I was under the impression that I could craft everything that was being shown to me until the option list was empty. This was because the option list would be empty when I was done. Later I would return to the same bench and I have tons of options again. I think at this point I just keep replacing object I already have placed. I don't know what's going on because it doesn't show me the area where the change is occurring.

If this is indeed what is happening, I wish they would have made a warning come up that says "would you like to replace ________ with _________"?
