Question about fallout merchendising and licencing

Post » Thu Jul 11, 2013 7:12 am

I went to the movies not too recently to watch Ironman 3 and I had a nastalgic moment before the movie started because three of the songs infact all of the songs before the movie were songs from the radeo musice from fallout 3. how far has fallout merchendise spread even to theters and more???????

did they steal the songs or did they licence the songs from bethesda or did they also seperatly licence the songs into a fallout esk pacage of songs????

Do you mean that they used music from the score, or from the soundtrack?
Two very different things.

All the songs you hear on the Fallout radio (the soundtrack) are real songs, written and produced many years ago (mostly the 1950's and 1960's) by musicians from that era.
It's not "video game" music made by Bethesda. These are songs from the past, that Bethesda got the permission to use in their game.

true and the songs where Identical in every way short of threedogs calling them out. I just figure that those songs in that array being the same multiple songs as in fallout 3 that those songs where not randomly chosen but patterned after fallout 3.

The person playing the music (maybe the projectionist?) was likely a Fallout fan, using their Fallout Soundtrack CD instead of the local radio station.

Their boss may not approve, but any Fallout fans in the audience likely enjoyed it. :)
