Question about ImpeREAL City - Unique Districts.

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 4:19 pm

Yesterday i found this mod on TESNexus and it looks really good to me. BUT...i am afraid that all the lights added to the IC by this mod will drop my FPS to much. This is the mod i mean:

http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=19589

If you look at the screenshots then you will see that a lot of lights are added, and eventhough my computer is strong enough i am still unsure about the FPS?

My Computer specs:

*Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit
*Intel® Core™2 Duo CPU E7300 @ 2.66GHz (2 CPUs), ~2.7GHz
*3 GB Ram
*NVIDIA GeForce G100 512 MB DDR2

Honestly I think all you can do is try it out yourself and see how bad or good it is. XD I use it. I do have just a bit of lag but generally only when I enter a district. Lasts for a few seconds and then evens out. :lmao: Most of the time. Honestly I consider it worth it. It makes such a vast difference to the feel of the IC districts. :D

Precisely why i want to use it. :)

And if it is just a few seconds for me as it is for you then i can live with that, thanks WhoGuru.

No problem! :D Consider adding this one as well for a really impressive touch. http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=25804
Friend pointed that one out to me and it just fits beautifully. :foodndrink:

Thanks i might try that one out...eventhough it does not make sense that those waterfalls are on those walls. (Although they do have huge lake around the city. :) )

I like to think that it has something to do with aqueducts... or something... You know what? It looks so pretty ingame that I'd be willing to just go "a wizard did it." Considering that the Arcane University's located in the IC, that's not much of a stretch....

Anyhow, I heartily endorse WhoGuru's suggestion of the waterfall mod.

I would definitely recommend it. Some of the changes are subtle, and it's mainly just adds extra stuff like chairs, tables, stalls and flags etc. If memory serves, it utilises mainly vanilla resources, so will add extra of what you're already using. If you use QTP, then yes, it could affect fps, if not, then, well not.
However, I didn't notice any difference (my main fps killer, especially in the market district is NPCs, none of which are added/altered by this mod)
Also, I'd been finding that the Waterfront district was a major fps problem area for me, UNTIL I installed this mod. It clearly overwrote the other changes and greatly inproved fps and stability there, plus made it look a whole lot nicer!
Double plus :D
