A question about mantling

Post » Wed Sep 18, 2013 2:47 pm

I know the basic process of mantling a God (walk like them until they walk like you ect.) but I was thinking: could the same process be used to mantle lesser Et'eda like Dremora or...well I can't really think of any lesser Aedra but you get the idea.
Is this possible? If one spoke, dressed and acted like acertain Dremora for long enough, would they wake up red and with horns? If I'm misunderstanding the process of mantling I'd appreciate a correction

..I think it would be possible to mantle a lesser Daedroth, I don't see why not.

I could be wrong but isn't mantling only apply to aedra, as they are the ones shaped by belief because their bodies/souls make up everything in Mundus? Like the people of Nirn are literally made up of the Aedra after a matter of speaking (I'm oversimplifying it I know).

Daedra on the other hand, did not take part in creation and are interested in worship to grant them power in a realm that isn't theirs as well as guarantee souls that are speculated to be used as some sort of cosmic currency.

The obvious exception is the daedric prince of madness, crazy uncle Sheo. But again, correct me if I'm wrong, but he was born from the death of Lorkhan and might have some connection there. In truth some of "daedric" princes are really daedric after all... *cough* trinimac/malacath if they truly are the same being *cough*

Apologizes for not linking sources but I'm on my phone.

No, there have been mantlings of Daedra, hell the CoC basically mantles Sheogorath just as what Arden-sul did.

Sheo born of Lorky? Madness. Pure madness. We know he was born of a bit of the Daedra's own convention where they tore out Jyggy's sanity.

I know, that's why I worded my post to show how similar Jyggalag's story is to Lorkhan's.

I know this is stupid, but what if Jyggalag is Lorkhan? Or more specifically the aspect of his divine spark? What if what the CoC did was help restore Lorkhan's power? Ok, I better stop before I dig my hole to deeply here.
