Question about Melee combat

Post » Thu May 19, 2011 4:52 am

So there's obviously much more variety in combat styles (dual wielding), and the 'execution' things you can do at the end of a fight, but I'm wondering, when it comes right down to it, will melee combat just be more left click / right trigger spamming until the thing you are attacking is dead? This is of course speaking to the pure melee characters that there might be.

At least you have to time your blocks, got to be an improvement

I guess my dart in, attack, and dart back out is out since they reduced backpeddling speed.

I'll also need to give my right mouse button finger a workout if I'm going to need to use it for my off hand attack while dual wielding.

Let the clickfest begin!

Directional blocking is better than timed. Parrying should be timed, obviously.

I don't expect the combat in this game to be much more fun or enjoyable, but it will definitely look flashier, like DA2.

Todd did mention that they do take into account the direction you're moving [he was speaking about melee] ...
