Question about savegames

Post » Sun Dec 11, 2011 12:41 pm

Ive been wanting to store one of my savegames on a different memory thing, because for some unfathomable reason all savegames are kept in the same folder.

Id like to start a new charcter, but I just know Im going to save over my old character eventually in a moment of not paying attention.

Is there any way to load a savegame and then store that save on a different container so I know it will be safe?
If I remove the USB-stick from my xbox it just stops the game entirely and returns to main menu.

Can anyone help?

I haven't found a way to do this in-game, but it can be done by going through the Xbox memory options under system settings. Once there you can copy your game to another drive.

I really don't think you can manage your saves through the game interface, not that you would want to.

However, use the management interface of the 360, outside of the game, and you can move saves like you want to.

BTW, it is a very good idea to move your character saves to an external memory device when you want to archive them so you don't overwrite them when using a different character. It is too easy in the game to overwrite a save slot that belongs to a different character. By too easy I mean it is almost guaranteed that you will over write another character's save slot when you don't want to.
