This is a lot of explanation, but it is needed to explain what happened.

Okay, I know that saves are supposed to be saved in C:\Documents and Settings\AoS\My Documents\My Games\Fallout3\Saves, but I didn't know that when I first got the game.

So I started playing the game, got all the way through, and then realized my DLC wasn't working, so I did everything (except use the launcher, I didn't know at the time) and I finally decided that it must be because I don't have live patched beyond 1.0, so I got it patched, and found that all my saves were gone, but figured I might as well play through it again. So after two days I got to the end, died again, got mad, found the launcher, enabled DLC, and got on with my life.

So now I want to start a new character, but want to keep the old saves. So I go into the My Games/Fallout 3/Saves file, and find the saves from my first game. This begs the question, if my saves without live are stored here, where are the saves that I am using now? It seems that live must store the saves somewhere else, because they are not here. Does anyone know where live stores them?
