Since I figured out you can remove the radiation from food when you cook it I have not been using the pre war food at all. Yet I keep picking the stuff up and its piling up in the ice cooler at the Red Rocket.

Which has me wondering if I cant put it to good use in the workbenches of settlements and have the settlers eat it? It would be a nice stop gap for settlements just starting up with little food production or for those places with little or no bare ground to grow food like Jamaica Plains.

I just started a new character and I am not up to the point where I need to worry about feeding settlers just yet and I won't be for a while. So putting this to the test will have to wait a few days unless some one else has an answer.
