Let's say you have 10 identical items in one stack. Do you get more Speech XP if you sell them one by one than if you sell all of them 10 in one go?

I think the more expensive / value an item has the more speech XP you get for selling it.

Thats true but you still get xp for selling zero priced items like flour, because the xp is calculated on the base purchase cost rather than what you get for it. AFAIK.


Selling individually is most effective when selling high cost items like top level paralyse poison for example......but you'd have to be pretty dedicated (mad) to sell 300 Red Mountain flowers individually just to get the max speech xp....breaking it into three chunks would be good enough (100 flowers each).

If you have insanely expensive stuff like water breathing potions with salmon roe made with alchemy gear you will raise your speech skill fast even if the shopkeeper can just pay an faction of it value.
