Question about Stacking Walls in Settlements

Post » Tue Jan 19, 2016 1:32 am

First off, I already know how to stack one wall on top of another without there being a gap. But for what I'm trying to build, I need to have 5 walls stacked on top of each other (I'm basically trying to seal/wall off something big I made). The problem though is that after the first stacked wall, it seems to be impossible to stack another wall on without there being a gap. Everything I look up never seems to go beyond having 2 walls stacked unless its a several story building with multiple floors.

As a console user, is there any kind of trick I can do, or is it basically hopeless to do without mods on pc since Bethesda decided to make it so items could only stick side by side?

I saw a video the other day about using the scaffold stairs to do something similar to what your describing, I would think that if you put a foundation block down, attached a wall to it, then used scaffolding to set another wall on top and removed the scaffolding, that would work in the same way.

I haven't tried this myself just a thought I had after reading this :)

KagatoAC is correct. Temporarily place the shack staircase next to your wall and your wall will snap on. :)

When you remove staircase, there will be gap left.

I probably should have specified, but I was trying to make a 5 stack wall using metal walls, not the shack foundation blocks, which is what guy in video seems to be doing. Trying to use stairs with metal walls just create gaps, no matter what method I try.
