A Question about the EULA

Post » Wed Dec 07, 2011 10:24 pm

Right, so here's what's going on basically. A few months back I started a YouTube account just to do some basic Let's Plays of games. All was going fine until I got the option to allow ads on my videos, or monetize them. To do this however, you need to give a link to the End User License Agreement (or EULA) for that game, showing that your allowed to do so. However, I cannot seem to find the EULA for Oblivion, despite looking around for a couple hours now. I found the legal information on use of Bethesda's website, but nothing about the actual game itself. So I'm wondering if someone would be so kind as to post a link to where I could review the EULA.

Thanks for your help.

That's because you're not allowed to accept any financial remuneration for doing any mods, videos, etc, for any game made by Bethesda Softworks. Mods and videos can be shared, as long as they're free, and do not involved the use of licensed third-party materials or anything from another gamesas game.

And yes, they *do* go after people who violate this.

Ah, well thanks for the reply. Though I still don't get why they wouldn't have a copy of the eula posted, since if it seems like having to create a forum account and make a topic to get the answer to a pretty simple question is a pretty round about way of doing things.
