A question about the followers of apocalypse

Post » Wed May 09, 2012 11:02 am

I have seen videos of almost all the gangs, and have some basic idea on how it goes with them.

But what about this one?Are they a big group like NCR or Ceasar?Do you get to fight with them in the end?

Their helpfulness seems too good to be true.Surely they have an agenda for all of it and a dominant leader.Or else why would they act so helpful to everyone and be non violent to everything?

I am sure some here have joined them or fought with them in the end.

PS:sorry about the thread topic;I now see I have too many questions lol

The Follower's of the Apocalypse are genuinely that nice or naive as many would say. They used to be with the NCR, but I think they broke off years ago. They are an organization trying to reeducate the wasteland through peaceful means like teaching agriculture, medicine, survival skills free of charge to anyone they can. They don't have any hidden agenda.

I really wish this group returns on the next fallout, but with a big mission line and maybe a few twists here and there. It feels like this group was the most under represented.

Even the powder gangers have there own fair share of missions and stories <.<

I agree with this, but I think it would be harder to make a 'big mission line' with them.

It wouldn't be hard, just a little less action-packed. FotA aren't really a warlike group, so the main chunk of their questline would probably be dialogue, with some fetch quests. The only real action I can think of would probably be a standoff between a FotA outpost and raiders or something like that. Even then, that would be primarily dialogue as, while the FotA are not against fighting when solving a problem, they prefer diplomacy over brute force.

The original leader, the one in the boneyard during fallout 1 (who's name i cant remember), got her family killed and decided she had enough of the wastes savagery and founded the followers of the apocalypse, thinking that she could bring back peacein to the wastes through pre-war knowledge. Sorry if i wrote something wrong
