Question about the no level cap in FO4

Post » Wed Dec 02, 2015 12:43 pm

Hey guys, I'll start off by admitting that I've never been much of a Fallout fan at all, and have never played any of the games, but I'm ready to change all that and become a fellow wanderer this coming Nov 10.

I've got a question that's been bugging me a bit though, since there is no level cap in F04, does that mean that eventually, I can have every perk in the game? Hence, becoming a master in every type of weapon style.

Thanks, really am looking forward to knowing this! :D

Theoreticly yes but that wud require a lot of invested time(if you are not gonna use xp exploits/spacific mods or console for cheating xp), so while possibile i dont rly think many people will reach it without using cheats.

We are not entirely sure the extent we'll get in the higher levels. It's one of those things that'll become more clear within that first month.

It should take a very long time to max everything out.

Technically yes, but you would have to play the game for an absurd amount of hours to get there. So while it is possible, you would likely of already done every quest and not have a whole else lot to do with that specific gamesave other than building and maintaining settlements and grinding, so it might get boring and be better to start a new game at that point.

If you can do it legit without mods or cheats, well then I salute the person that does it, for they have the time, and the determination to reach that pinnacle of badass.

Shine on, you crazy diamonds, whoever you may be.

Look at it this way. To maxs out stats and perks would require around 300 levels. We know you get a trophy at level 50, so that must be pretty far into the game. So maxing everything out, as others have said, would either take forever or is flat out not possible. And even if it is,sure you'll be a jack of all trades but what would you use it on? You'd have already completed everything.

Since we get an achievment for reaching 50 levels, I would say that the average player will be there when he finishes the game.

I seriously doubt people will be able to max it out in 200 hours if you play the game normally. Grinding might be able to do it. I suspect it will take 500 hours to get to about level 300 for most people with all the weapon crafting and settlements.

Yes, it's possible. But to reach the ~300 level ups needed for it can take some time.

While personally I'm really not a fan of a no level cap, on paper at least Fallou 4's system seems... reasonable.

The reason they did this isnt so you can learn everything.. thats not why they did it.. they did it so you never reach a point of "oh.. this experience im getting is now useless now i dont feel like doing all these quests anymore" ect

Someone will max out

(more likely first by cheating...)
