A question about the Nerevarine and Corprus

Post » Tue Nov 09, 2010 7:55 pm

The CoC will most likely make an appearance in future games, however. I assume he will have mantled Sheogorath completely by then, so he will sound exactly like the previous Sheogorath(assuming the same voice actor is used) and, if they go back to Daggerfall style Daedric summoning, will look exactly like the previous Sheogorath(except for changes due to artitistic style).

I can't imagine my female PC becoming a guy with a beard. Yeah, I know that Daedric Princes haven't an specific gender, but I don't why my PC would like to change her gender.

Since the nerevarine could have been any race/six/class and have any name and personality I doubt that he/she will be coming back.

Or maybe it could be like someone said some posts ago. He/she is covered with a Daedric armor and he/she doesn't speak. Maybe he/she could save you from dying in some part of the adventure, like in Far Cry 2 when you get "killed" by the enemy and one of your allies comes to save you.

You know, I don't get the fuss. I know I wouldn't mind if the Nerevarine turned out to be a Bosmer female.

Besides, it makes perfect sense that the Nerevarine may find a way to resemble Chimer Nerevar. (doesn't require the need to create a new race - just use Altmer)

Anyway, we'll never see the Nerevarine either way.

I personally think it would be awesome if there was a part in TESV where you enter into a dungeon, and you're fighting a losing battle against bandits/vampires/necromancers/whatever, and just as one is about to strike you down, BAM, Nerevarine runs into the fray, clad in Daedric, and starts wiping the floor. Then the entire dungeon could just be this huge setpiece, with you keeping pace behind the Nerevarine as she singlehandedly clears the dungeon with nary a scratch. Perhaps you came to the dungeon for some artifact or something, but the Nerevarine just snatches it up.

That would honestly be the coolest thing ever. Maybe if you tried to attack him/her he/she would just turn around and cut you down in one strike.

Actually, it would be pretty much genius if they kept the Nerevarine as a cloaked and shrouded person who just shows up occasionally, with one of those disembodied voices like Azura's that possesses both genders, but helps you out when you're really FUBAR'd(Unlocks a cell, heals your blindness, gives you water, or puts a few daggers, arrows, or sword points for a killing blow during a cut scene. Would be also genius if they warn you that you should trust your own mind, as the Gods and Demigods have are beyond trusting. Then the last you see of them is boarding a longboat outfitted with the sails of the sigil of the Moon and Star. That way they aren't in the entire game, but just a few chapters to carry on the feel that like the other games, you're pretty much on your own.

I could enjoy that. Especially if it were just them giving you a lift to the coast of Skyrim, before he(she) heads off to Akavir and the end(or beginning) of the Nerevarine's destiny.

Eirik, that is a wicked cool idea. I think it would be awesome if at the start of TESV, the player is just getting off a boat, and you turn around and see Moon-and-Star on the sail. That kind of thing would be a good idea just to show that Nerevarine is still alive, and a nice throwback to Morrowind.

The Daedric Armor idea would also be good; you could go through a dungeon or something with this unknown figure, only to find out at the end that it was indeed the Nerevarine.

I prefer to think he and Vivec are riding a Sunbird through the AE right about now, sipping some Mazte and engaging in a game of riddles with one another.

Here's hoping Vivec isn't still kept captive by some Daedra lord.

After exploding Azura in the Mundus with his Muatra, I honestly do not think any of the princes would be touching him. Also, Vivec would probably bite off another appendage of Molag Bal and beat him with it if MB tried pulling that kind of stunt again.

That as when he was using the heart. Surely he's mortal now? Any god can open a can of whoop ass on him now, if they can get past his guards. :slap:

The appendage biting, yes. Blowing up Azura, no. Plus, if you believe what he said, he achieved CHIM, then that makes the gods a drop of water in his ocean.

Did he do any permanent harm to Azura? Or was it just teaching "Her" a lesson?

CHIM

Seen this phrase a few times. Never bothered to ask. Can't find it, either. What does it mean?

In short, he became everything and everything is him, but also kept his individuality. The moth priests do the same thing, except they end up not keeping their individuality, so they Zero Sum, or completely disappear.

It's one of the methods mortals use to ascend to a higher being.

Also, search CHIM on the forums, you'll find an endless discussions about it. Also, search TIL.

Oh, and don't expect you to achieve it, hunter, as you are daedra.

CHIM

When an NPC gains access to the Construction Set.

or

When one realizes that the world isn't "real" and thus seizes control of godlike powers. Something or other like that. Talos is one of the few confirmed mortals to actually achieve and sustain CHIM. He is now the Ninth Divine.
