Question about the release date : Fallout: New Vegas

My steam is telling me my game unlocks in 5 hours (That will be 4am in the 19th) and I am NOT American, I got this game with that release in mind so if they go "Oh wait, despite no actual reason you can go to hell" I am going to be so annoyed >.<

OK I can comment on this because I have just recently bought 2 games while in America, and I had to wait not for the early American release date but for the German release date. I am currently living in Germany.

So no you will not play based on the American release date but your Japan release date. I know this because I just bought Civilization 5 and Ruse over the last 2 months and had to wait 2 days later until the German Release date. What steam does is look at your IP location.

Actually im in Okinawa, Japan an island about 200 miles south of the mainland and the internet here is not that great.

And to answer your question, only in the U.S it shall release on the 19th whole the rest of the world shall be release on the same date, exspecially on steam on the 22nd!!!
How is Okinawa??? I haven't see that place in a long whole :facepalm:

Uh, It will also be release in Canada as well. Don't forget about Canada and Mexico as well I believe. The U.S. is not the only place that is being released on the 19th. Not shure about South America though.

Also will the game be sold in Asia? I am asking because they stopped selling Civilization V to Asia now for some reason.

different distributors? World-wide release would overwhelm Steam, so they stagger it? Licensing? Other logistics?

Does seem a bit pointless in this global internet age, but that's how it is.
