Question about usage of fallout 3

Post » Thu Oct 29, 2009 4:54 am

Kay well I load up the GECK and check out all the objects and in World Objects > static there are objects from dlc's in fallout 3. Now I don't have fallout 3 installed nor the dlcs, so does this mean these are okay to use and publish as I am not taking it from fallout 3 but fallout NV? Sorry if this has been asked before but my searching turned up nothing.

If it's in the GECK and/or the New Vegas BSA files, it's okay- it simply has the same naming convention (and usually file path) as it originally had in FO3.
If you have to copy it from Fallout 3 BSAs, then... not so much.

Yes, anything in FNV is fine to use whether or not it's used in game (Though most of it probably is. Just because it was originally introduced in a DLC doesn't mean it's not used in FNV.)

But if you do copy from Fallout 3 BSAs you can only use it personally, no uploading no how no way it's illegal :whistling:
