Question about XCWT

Hi all. I posted this on Reddit but didn't get much response so I wanted to go straight to the source and ask you guys. I was eager to get Skyrim Bridges converted for SE but also make it compatible with Lanterns of Skyrim. While I got it to work using SSEedit + CK, I ran into a few things I wanted to discuss.

Basically, as we know there's the Skyrim Bridges mod on Nexus for Oldrim along with a Lanterns of Skyrim patch by another author as well. Skyrim Bridges seems to work out of the box but the LoS patch causes a crash on startup. At first I simply tried to simply convert the LoS patch using CK. Unfortunately I found errors in the esp itself that were causing SE/CK to crash. Luckily, I could open Skyrim Bridges in CK and I could still open the LoS patch in SSEedit so I went ahead and converted Skyrim Bridges. Then I opened up the LoS patch with SSEedit and manually copied the values from the LoS patch into Skyrim Bridges esp. I then thought I had a SE version of Skyrim Bridges compatible with Lanterns of Skyrim. Or so I thought... Until I ran into the new water flow attribute featured in SE where water seemed to be missing or just wonky in general. I read here on this sub that you could just delete the XCWT attribute from a converted mod so that Update.esm's attribute takes precedence. So I went and deleted the XCWT from Skyrim Bridges as well as adjusting water height in few places.

However, I decided to load up all my mods in SSEedit and look at the XCWT attribute across the board. I found that a few updated mods for SE had the old attribute from previous version of Skyrim. Mods that shouldn't be dealing with water in general. Is this going to cause a problem somewhere? Should I contact these mod authors and let them know? It seems like it could be an oversight so I went ahead and deleted XCWT from those mods as well...

So, am I doing this right? I'm still testing out my edited version of converted Skyrim Bridges. If anyone wants to try it out, don't be afraid to ask. If I don't see any bugs, I'm going to contact mod author to see if he wants to work with my version as option for upload. Thanks!
