Question... All serious answers welcome.

okay so I've always hated the fact that I can't MOD on my console, however I've been okay with it since there were cheats like "item duplication" and such. My question here is "will there be the same kind of cheats in Skyrim as there were in oblivion or will most of them be canceled out with game patches?" and actually for that matter WHY would Bethesda take away the cheats with the game patches on consoles in the first place? Just the other day I decided to play FO3 and there was a patch update before I could play afterward I wasn't able to put items in the drum barrels anymore. I mean come on now that really wasn't even a cheat.

I saw that Todd did say that they were in talks with Sony and Microsoft about making the CK available for the consoles and as much as I'm sure all console owners would love for this to happen we all know it's not going to happen at least not this time around maybe after the next gen consoles are out. Hell maybe the console makers will actually make the next gen consoles with the CK's already installed on the console right from the beginning.

Those weren't cheats (item duplication and others) they were glitches. The only cheat that has ever been in TES was the cheat for Morrowind which restored your stats. However, there are talks about them trying to get mods onto the console (but they are still made by PC users.) So yes, there are talks with Sony and Microsoft to allow people to download mods others make but you aren't getting the Creation Kit for the console.

I wish I could just simply plug my keyboard inside USB port and press # (that's the key I use to open console on the PC) to open console and type cheats, etc.

I understand that they are glitches and not really cheats, but what do people use these glitches for....CHEATING. hence Cheats...

Those aren't cheats, those are diagnostic tools for us to use to debug the mods we make, not to cheat....

That doesn't make them cheats. Cheats are purposely put in the game, glitches are accidents. Glitches are not cheats in any capacity. Also you asked why they removed "cheats" from the game and now you have your answer, they didn't remove cheats from the game because there were never any cheats, they removed glitches.

I always thought Console players were IRON men because they maxed 1000 hours on Oblivion despite the fact there are no cheats.

You probably shouldn't switch out new hardware with each game, that would be a real issue in the money department. Also, freezing often in games sounds like you have issues with your computer. I've almost never froze in any game and when I did it was usually one little thing that I could fix (like in ACBH multiplayer where Punkbuster doesn't work well with realtek so I disabled my microphone so I wouldn't crash whenever I hit the talk button)

Here's pretty much the entirety of it: The "cheats" you're talking about are glitches and bugs. They're errors in the game, plain and simple. Therefore it's safe to say none will deliberately be added, and a safe bet any that do appear will be assessed by Bethesda and patched out if they figure it's not too insanely difficult. Such cheats may appear in-game, but I'd count on some effort being made to remove them once they're found.

Hell maybe the console makers will actually make the next gen consoles with the CK's already installed on the console right from the beginning.

lolwhut? "Buy the PS4, comes with game editors for various games already installed, and you just have to buy the game!" Not seeing it...

Okay guy's I only stated this post to get these 2 questions possibly answered. not to start a console/PC debate and not to argue weather or not those GLITCHES in OB or FO are CHEATS or not. If you don't have an answer to these questions or a comment pertaining to weather or not these cheats will be able to be used or not in Skyrim then Please move along. Thanks

when you say cheats, do you mean console commands? becuase more than likely the game will have it, in fact if skyrim didnt have it there is no way they could have gotten the shot in the air at the trailer
also I am pretty sure it is just mods that may be available for consoles
not the actual Ck

But you're asking if Bethesda is going to leave them in or patch them out, they're not supposed to be in there in the first place if they're glitches.

Depends on the player. I play on xbox and never use cheats or glitches. Not the free health/ magicka/ fatigue return on Morrowind, and not the glitches in Oblivion.
I find it makes things a bit boring. I prefer to be rewarded for work, and a good understanding of the game.
What also helps is that the glitches on Oblivion make your savegame unstable and prone to crashes and freezes lol.

Im not above fully utilising game mechanics though. Sometimes its just more fun to use high chameleon.
It all depends on what mood Im in.

There will be no cheats in console versions. This pertains directly to the inaccuracy of your question, as there are no cheats- only glitches, bugs, and other errors. There are no cheats in console versions since there's no development console with which to activate them, thus I can safely say there will be no cheats in console versions of Skyrim. Period. There will only be glitches and errors, which will be on a "Better use'em now before they get patched!" basis.

Oh I forgot that IGN is an official Bethesda company.... They aren't bleeping cheats, they are glitches. Also, I already answered your questions above so maybe /thread?

To recap my answers: No, they won't be in because they were glitches. Also, there are talks about allowing the console players to download mods but no, consoles will not be getting the Creation Kit, that is still only for the PC, you will be downloading mods from PC modders.

Because tips and hints and anything that aids a player gets classed as a cheat,Its been this way for around ten years...I first noticed it when 'cheats' in mags came out,if a hint is a cheat, sites and mags have more cheats...
