Question: Are Nords considered enemies in Whiterun? : V

.... I began the game, chose the Nord, went to Whiterun and was attacked by EVERYBODY!

P.S. I'm an extreme noob to Skyrim and the whole of the Elder Scroll series, so take it easy on me.

Skyrim is the home of the Nords, I don't think they're considered enemies anywhere.
