This is a question/debate proposal for the series. Not a suggestion. you trigger happy mods
Now anyway. The TES universe sort of justifies ultraviolence six. and Be it you a man with super strength and an ebony sword that cuts through flesh like the interior of watermelon, or even you a person with no weapons but a talent for gauging eyes, fish-hooking, pulling undead apart, punching hard enough to deform, heart removal, impaling someone on your arm... and so on and so forth. In universe The Dremora can put their fist through a persons chest and rip their heart out. Seducers were a daedra that appeared as nvde women (or in a sixual dress) who would use their lure to get in close for the kill. Spider daedra just don't seem right with the corset.Lore aside it just makes sense. The ability to use charm magic and seduction to get what you want (or avoid punishment) . The ability to discretely cast frenzy over a rival and watch him publicly ruin himself as he does something horrible in his rage. Or maybe the best way to get rid of an undead is to put it into smaller pecies. and just because someone can endure a thousand hits, doesn't mean they're not going to have a thousand wounds. I mean; You turned your hand into a Bunsen burner and applied it to someone's face.
anyhow It goes on in the backround. Just look at the daedric princes;
Molag bal is the daedric prince of [censored] and domination.
vaermina is of nightmares
Sanguin is of debauchery (he's actually a good guy. Promise)
Namira is extremely vile
and of course dagon is destroy.
The rest are pretty dark even without being explicitly 'evil' in definition. Hircine could be many times as bad as the alien in [sp] predator[/sp]. Malacath makes some brutaly violent monsters. Boethia comes up with these game of thrones schemes. peryite is about natural order, and nature is scary. Sheogorath, though usualy depicted as a happy fella and loved for his humour and ability to grant musical talent... Happens to cause insantity, which is something TES never really explored the darker aspect of. (killing a netch with a fork is one thing. Thinking your entire family are demons that are going to eat you unless you eat them whilst they still live is another.)
on the otherhand, this is a game series about freedom, and if you can eye-gouge a bandit, some are going to want the ability to eye-gouge your friendly neighbor. Most delightful controversial game ever. If we see a [censored] or six, fox news would be upset. If we had to run away from a servant of molag ball, the consequences of failing might be worse than death. Does it belong in the universe? Absolutely. does it need to be in game... I'd say yes.
