a question to both Imperials, and Stormcloaks

Post » Wed Apr 02, 2014 1:10 pm

Lately it seems that alot of the people who Support the SCs had started the franchise with Skyrim, while it also appears most of the Legion Supporters started with earlier titles...

I am just checking to see if my theory is correct, so, Vote Away!

And Please, Keep it Civil!

For the Empire. Only Skyrim.

I actually never heard of The Elder Scrolls until I got Skyrim. It is the only TES game I play.

I kinda support both, I just don't like Ulfric.

The Empire brings unity, the Stormcloaks bring separation. Unity is the only way man will be able to fight the Dominion but separation results in the human races becoming nothing but bickering kingdoms and further causes the split the Thalmor spies have been creating since the beginning of the fourth era.

I voted Stormcloaks and started with Oblivion.

But I barely played Oblivion years ago and didn't even know what TES was until I bought Skyrim.

I'm not convinced the Empire can bring unity any more, and I'm pretty convinced it doesn't. I think ideally the non-AD countries would all be self-governing but unite against the AD. I don't massively support either side, but I find it hard to get behind the appeasemant-heavy stance of the Empire these days. Oh, and I started with Skyrim but have played at least some of Morrowind and Oblivion and like the Empire more in earlier ones, I also like Cyrodiil and the Imperials a lot as a country/people. (I'm also not a fan of imperialism in general.)

My characters most often don't get involved in the civil war. I have played through the entire CW once from the Imperial side (as a Dunmer) once I did the truce council thing as part of the MQ (as an Imperial) and my current character is fighting for the Stormcloaks (also a Dunmer).

I, as player, support the Stormcloaks and started with Morrowind.

But as a roleplayer it is up to my characters to decide for themselves which side they would like to join or if they join any side. I do not impose my views on my characters.

Unfortunately life doesn't work like we want to and I doubt there will be a large combined forces of human nations taking out the Thalmor. The Thalmor are too interesting and can make for good stories for them to kill off in a next game, it's better if the theme of "the downfall of humanity" is kept for the fourth era.

As a player, I can't really disagree with that. As pretty much any of my characters, I'd have to strongly object ;)

The Thalmor are pros at deception and espionage, it makes more sense that the Thalmor are constantly working to destroy the reputations of countries and powers in order to drive them further apart then the ideal of a combined force of free countries attacking them, especially when humanity has been in the crapper the entire fourth era.

I support the Stormcloaks, but that may differ depending on the type of character that I'm playing in the game. My first Elder Scrolls game was Morrowind.

Yeah, I don't think many of my characters have any illusion that such a thing will happen, but if it did it'd probably have a better chance than the Empire in its current state, if they were even ever going to try...

As usual, I can't vote because my option isn't there.

I support both, and have a save string for each faction for each of my two characters, Narienne and Ulfius.

This is the only time in an Elder Scrolls game I've been unable to choose between two opposing factions to the point I've gone and made separate saves for each faction. I can see the good both bring, and the drawbacks to either aren't significant enough to cause me to come down on one side or the other.

Oh, I started with Morrowind, nearly eleven years ago.

Started with Oblivion and support neither side. I do however, support what the Empire used to be, but cannot support what it has become.

Ideally, I'd like to see the Empire return to it's former glory, but recapturing lost glory is troublesome even under the best of circumstances.

I support the Sons and Daughters of Skyrim

I started with Oblivion, loved the [censored] outta that game. Back when the empire was actually an empire, and actually valued logic and honour. And back when the Blades were blades, and not a few old, dilapidated horkers.

And damn, what's with the quantity of CW threads this week?
