A question for my fellow PS3 Gamers

Post » Wed Sep 15, 2010 5:07 pm

I have $30 worth of credits on PSN, and I'm looking for a good game with trophy support to download. I like shooters, RPG's, and the like.

Any suggestions?

Castle Crashers and Fat Princess are basically MUST HAVE PSN games. They're both great. I also recommend Section 8, it's a great 30$ Multiplayer FPS on the store.

Well, I do like multiplayer, but eventually I'm not going to have an i9nternet connection, so I'm looking for something that has an engaging single player.

What are Castle Crashers and Fat Princess all about? And do they have trophy support? I was thinking about getting AC II, but I have already beaten that except for the DCL chapters. Do the DLC chapters have new trophies?

Well both of them have single player to a degree but the real gold in them is the multiplayer. If you're going to spend 30$ don't spend it on DLC, unless we're talking Shivering Isles here, because you can get some real gems on the PSN store as full length games. I would get Braid, Flower, and Super Street Fighter if the prices work out right.

Well if I were going to get ACII, if would be the full game WITH the DLC included, they have a delux edition, and I don't own ACII I had borrowed it from a friend.

I am not sure if any of the ones you mentioned are really my style of game. I like deep games, and they just don't seem deep enough to me.

That's probably true, a lot of those PSN games are just little games that are really fun but not that deep. If you're getting the entire game, I would defenitely go for that, especially if it includes more DLC you haven't played.

Thanks for the advice. I wish they had AC Brotherhood on PSN.

If you're looking for deep games, stop looking at PSN. They are fun and entertaining and good for playing when bored, but they are not all that deep.

Here's all the downloadable games I have, and I'm happy with them all.

Call Of Duty Classic (Best CoD hands down) $15

Pac Man Championship Edition DX (Tons of entertainment) $10

Prince Of Persia: Sands Of Time (Probably deepest game on here, really entertaining and challenging) $15

Wolfenstein 3D (My favorite game on the list. Just pure entertainment here. Shooting Nazi's, eating chicken, and confusing mazes FTW! Best value as well for only 5 bucks.) $5

Edit: These all have trophy support and two are shooters. PoP is adventure/platformer while Pac-Man is obviously arcade just super vamped up.

CoD Classic has trophy support? That is awesome. I already spent my money but I was looking at CoD Classic. Will have to get it one day soon.

If you're a trophy hoarder like me then I'll give you a warning on that one. CoD may be my favorite CoD game, but it is most certainly the hardest. If you've ever tried getting the platinums on Wipeout HD or Killzone 2 then you will already kind of see what I'm talking about. The game is easy if you put it on easy, but if you play it on Veteran (have to for platinum) then it's a nightmare. You don't have regenerating health, there are no health packs, and the enemy AI are insanely accurate. If you don't want it for the platinum go right ahead, but if you want the platinum be prepared for a challenge. I would be most impressed to see anyone with that plat on their list.

I remember playing CoD Back when it first came out, back when it was groundbreaking.

I will have to try it. I've beaten all the others on Veteran, but I forgot about the no health regeneration of the original. We'll see what I can do :D

I played Castle Crashers on the xbox. I don't even own an xbox and I still had to play that game. I'm glad I didn't turn down the offer. If it's even half as good as the 360 one I can recommend it.
