Question for the Xbox 360 gamers here

Hey all,

For all this time i've been playing my games and especially lately mostly Oblivion to get in the mood for Skyrim, using the Xbox 360 settings as follows:

In the display settings i have expanded for reference level, and RGB for hdmi color space. However, i've been told that expanded is only meant for pc monitors and i am on a plasma television. On another forum they provided me with a test pattern and apparently the expanded setting crushed the black levels of my tv, and thats not how it should be. All this time dungeons/caves/tombs were incredibly dark in Oblivion, and i always had to lit a torch or use a light spell...always. Is this how it's supposed to be? Cause now that i am using the standard setting in reference level and 'auto' at hdmi color space, dungeons are MUCH brighter now, and even if i was to crank the game's brightness completely down..i can still see things. Is this how it was always supposed to be?

So basically...people on a plasma television (and if there aren't any folks with plasma, then LCD) what reference level and hdmi color space setting are you guys using? I know there's probably no such thing as 'how its meant to be played' but still...how the developer meant it to be.

It was never soo dark for me that I couldn't survive without a torch in the dungeons, so I'm guessing its either supposed to be bright enough or somewhere in between.
