Question for those on XBOX 360.. : V

Do snow covered rocks look like utter garbage in your game? It's a legitimate question and I'm wondering if something is wrong with my xbox..I was in a Falmer cave which was covered in snow and I felt like I was in a PS1 game.

I love this game and in no way am I trying to troll, I seriously think my XBOX is screwed up...or something. Surely it can't look this bad?

mines does not look like that at times Texture do go down for a sec but come right back btw I using patch 1.1

The best way I can think of to describe it is that someone took the spray paint tool from MS Paint and sprayed white coloring on the rocks...I expected the patch to fix it but, still horrible.

My textures started out amazing, but have degraded since 1.02 they aren't at [censored] yet but I believe they may reach it soon

yup, thats exactly how it looks in my game too. just a pure white pixelated void of a texture...

On PC tho but i agree some places the "snow" looks like "spraypaint". At the watchtower near Bleak Falls Barrow, that looks awful.

If you don't focus on it, then you don't really notice it out in the wild...but once you're in a cave filled with snow, oh the horror......

It isn't so much as an issue, lastwolf, as it is incredibly ugly and bothersome to the eyes. Only when I'm in a snowy cave though, outside if I don't focus I don't notice. Do me a favor and load it up on the 360, head north to a snowy area and look closely at a rock. Does it look like a bird had diarrhea all over it? Honest question, if it doesn't, it doesn't. Just doesn't make sense to me.

It also might depend on what 360 you have. I believe I use the second generation and its starting to go downhill fast with textures

I think mine look fine, but then i am not too concerned with graphics so it is possible i just dont notice the texture problems others feel is such a problem.

I don't understand what you mean. Reload the save? I save and reload quite a bit...

Again, it's not a problem so much. I've invested close to 200 hours in the game so far, and I'm still addicted. I am just curious if it's like this for other people. If it is, I can deal. If it's not then I may have to start considering that my XBOX needs replacing.

My textures look great since 1.2, Skyrim looks pretty

but I am using a 360 Slim and believe the xbox type effects this sorta thing

Well, it's good to know that games that are meant to be played by a certain console only work with later versions of it. That makes a lot of sense.

Try the latest patch. It fixed my snow texture problem.

I have the first gen xbox (no HDMI) and the game looks great... except for the snow (still with patch 1.1). Looks like someone spray-painted the flat surfaces, kind of a mono-layer of white with no texture. For a game setting in the north with lots of snow, you would have expected a little more work on the snowy surfaces, but overall it does not really bother my game play that much....
