I was playing WARS and Crysis 1 today, I cant help but wonder, why are PC features getting less especially with an game engine which is said to be the most advanced on earth? I mean we could in both previous titles change pretty much whatever we wanted VIA menu, create LAN Games and so on... We had more than just "3 options" on how we would want the game to look to really suit our needs, Now my gripe is NOT really gfx settings (Although the ability to change whatever to my liking is always a good thing seeing that this is what PC Gamers are use to and console players arent).
My gripe is LAN. We all know that the game was leaked with that "feature" enabled so WHY must the paying customers get the short end of the stick and these torrent lovers dont? LAN is pretty much alive in my neck of the woods? WARS had it in? Why are we being limited and charged more for games from EA? Why is EA and Crytek insistant on having the server files locked down with RSP for instance?
Is it because:
a. the game was developed for console as most PC Gamers suspect?
b. Crytek feels that piracy would grow more (Which is IMO an utter crap excuse these for publishers to use)?
c. Publishers can make some bucks of RSP's?
I am just really trying to understand why PC Gamers and in particular paying PC customers have to get the short end of the stick and the retards who actually pirate the game gets to have way more fun playing the game?
Thanks.
