This happens not just in New Vegas, but a lot of my other games as well. I've never thought to ask about it, though. I took a couple of screen-shots of the problem in question. I've noticed this in just about every game I play.

This image was re-sized a bit when I put it on tinypic.com from 1920x1080, but you can still see the "splotchy" nature that I am talking about, particularly in the foggy-blackness.

Anyone know what that is all about?
