A Question Regarding ENB and Memory Usage

Post » Mon Jan 20, 2014 6:01 pm

I am planning to upgrade my RAM to 8GB and thus I want to change the configuration settings to use such amount. However, I have been unable to find the value that I need to apply to the .ini file.

Can anyone tell me the value for RAM usage please?

Skyrim is a 32-bit application, which means it can never use more than about 3.75 GB of RAM, theoretically. In practice, it usually crashes when memory usage exceeds about 3.1 GB.

I read http://www.rcrncommunity.com/five-quick-skyrim-tweaks-you-may-not-know which states that one can Optimize Memory usage in order increase efficiency. ENB also has similar settings.

Yeah, this is the second time I've seen that article come up. It's bs. If you read through the comments section, there are actual compaints about the information, and the answer given is always some variation of, "I know it shouldn't work that way, but our experience tells us it does anyway!" And with no evidence to back up the claims.
