A question on the Season Pass

Post » Wed Dec 02, 2015 1:34 am

I've got a question for all those who've bought the season pass, or at least those who've bought other season passes in the past.

Long story short, after some thinking I've decided I'll be getting the season pass. However, when attempting to go to the PSN store (as I play on the PS4) I wasn't able to find it on there. After doing a quick google search of the season pass, I found you can buy it from Gamestop. My question now is, how exactly does that work? Do I purchase it, and at some point in the future they send me some sort of email with a redeemable code for the pass itself? Or will it in time be made available for purchase directly from the PSN store?

Apologies for the admittedly "noob" question, but my only prior experience with season passes of any kind were with Battlefield Premium for Battlefield 4, though that I purchased directly from the PSN store.

I was looking for it myself, but I don't think it's available yet. At least not in the Beth store. It may be up once the game launches.

It will be there in due course.

It's months until you will actually need to use it.

Yeah, it just showed up on the XBox marketplace. It isn't available on PSN or Steam yet. It's still early. If Gamestop is listing it, that's likely them just jumping the gun like they do with anticipated releases.

No rush, take your time. The price won't increase, there's no pre-order bonus, and it's not limited supply.

I like to buy everything all at once so I know it's all good to go. The pre-orders will become available to us around 10th November - if you buy from a place selling just the digital keys or something they'll appear in your account page and be available around game release.

DLC probably won't even drop until around what, February?
Plenty of time.

You can buy it whenever you want pretty much. After it's available of course.

Thanks for the replies everyone.

I'm well aware I won't be able to use it till the first DLC drops, I'm just one of those people who like to get everything taken care of beforehand. I certainly don't mind waiting, but I generally like to get everything situated as soon as possible. A sort of "go ahead and get it out of the way" mentality I guess.

I'll likely wait till it's up on the PSN store though. While I don't necessarily mind ordering from Gamestop, and this may be my lack of experience with such things talking, I'd much rather order it straight from the PSN store. That way I just buy it and download the pass without going through a third party (assuming it works in a similar fashion to the Battlefield Premium thing).
