Questions about giving followers equipment..

So I know that if you give them equipment that fortifies health, their health will increase (I checked with getav health), so I'm assuming if I give them something that does fortify armor or one-handed damage, it will work as well. I'd just like to know if anyone is knowledgeable on the subject. Also, If I enchant their weapons, does it use charges like normal or is it a slower rate or do the weapons not need to be recharged?

I'd also like to know if giving them accessories that increase magic resistance make a difference. Normally I would just check, but the magic resistance bug is stopping me.

Not sure about the fortify one-handed ability, but I dont see why not.

I'm on Xbox, but I give Lydia fortify one-handed gauntlets and a fire enchanted sword. I do have to recharge her weapon from time to time, but the charges seem to last quite a while for her. Haven't really tried to test her damage with and without the gauntlets. I got Lydia early on, around level 5, and have had her with me the entire time. I'm now level 33 and she is still kicking ass right along side me, setting people on fire with her sword and tanking for me when I need to heal.

I gave Lydia an enchanted greatsword that I found in some loot, maybe 10 levels ago. I've never had to recharge it (I don't let her near any soul gems), and I'd estimate it's at 85%. Player enchanted weapons may be different?
