Q. Why can people see me cloaked so easily? I though I was supposed to be invisable.
A. Stealth is not meant to make you completely unseen in the game, as this would just add the frusterating and unavoidable deaths. Stealth is to conseal your position at a distance or (up close) make your opponent hesitate and wonder if he saw something move or not and potentially give you an extra second or two to react on them. Stealth Enhance II definitly gives you a better cloak ability though if you need that extra something when in close quarters battles.
Q. Why did the kill cam show I only got meleed once? or why did it take three or more melees to kill some one?
A. There have been times when I went to melee an opponent the first attack didn't show on my screen but I still heard the sound of contact, he then died with the second melee. On his kill cam it probably looked as though I only hit him once. Also, I have notice that if you try and melee staight out of cloak the first hit does little to no damage and so it can take three hits to beat them down. And if you have a secondary weapon equipped (these take three melee to kill by default) then it could potentially take up to four or five hits to kill an opponent. These situations could account for the confusion.
Q. Why doesn't air stomp ever work?
A. I'm not an expert with this as I only have 8 air stomp kills, but I have attempted many times and It seems that it is only fatal if you do it from pretty high up location. i.e. of the roof of the glass house on Skyline or from the second floor at the building's main entrance on Wall Street. I did see on my kill cam that when I did it from the top of the stairs on Terminal and landed on someone, their screen did show damage dealt, but not fatal. He of course then killed me. Very cool ability just not that practical.
Q. Why is the Jackal so horrible and takes so many shots to kill someone?
A. I will admit that the default auto fire is not the greatest and you must be very close for it ot even be effective, however it you switch to the single shot (left on D pad) at the start of each life it becomes a much more powerful weapon. You can one shot kill most enemies and you are not waisting ammo by firing wildly at them with the full auto. I have had many 3.0-4.0 k/d matches using this method. Also using point fire enhance and mobilty enhance compliment this play style as well.
I will edit this thread if I find any other questions that I feel like I could shed some light on. Hope you enjoy this post and I hope that people would feel free to discuss other topics and situations that they have encountered during their Crysis 2 experiences.
Thanks
