2 Questions-Dnt think ive seen them on here

Post » Fri May 28, 2010 12:51 pm

#1 i wasnt only talking about u exaggerating what i asked for.
#2 It is REALLY BAD go get a sniper with anything lwess than 50 sm guns skills and hit a target thats actually sniper distance away. my 10mm pistol is mroe accurate. which is stupid. And renders your argument invalid. WHy sia pistol MORE accurate than a sniper? i can look at a far away guy. shoot him with a clip of my pistol and kill him. I can use my sniper. try to shoot him, and miss every shot. dnt believe me? go to OA with sumthing like 30 sm guns skill. get the pistol and sniper. and tell me whats more accurate. yea the pistol. so even from an rpg standpoint of better weapons are better, this makes no sence.

#1 What?
#2 I just tried it with 52, and it really isn't as bad as you're making out if you time the shot and don't rely on the game to hold your hand through the whole thing.
You are comparing a scoped view on a sniper with a pistol firing from the hip, which makes your argument invalid. Fire the sniper from the hip aswell, and the pistol is actually less accurate which makes sense. I just confirmed.
And "better weapons are better" doesn't mean anything, a powerful gun can be balanced by having poor aim, so your argument is invalid.

You're looking at it all wrong man. A pistol is an easy piece of kit to fire, a sniper rifle is an advanced piece of kit, they can't calculate difficulty based on where your character is in relation to the enemy you're shooting at, just in what your numbers add up to. :read:

It's like, Small Guns skills 100 + Weapon condition (100) + Character's arm health lol (100/100) + Sneak Critical + aim and fire = Hit.
Calculate weapon damage to enemy resistance throw in player skills, add the sneak critical = dead enemy.

Small Guns (30) + Weapon Condition (50) + Character's arms (73/90) + Sneak Critical aim with difficulty and fire = Well wide.
Calculate player fury at having a svck ass character, add player age variables and add up the level of Nerd Rage = Angry player.

Different multipliers for different weapons in relation to skills etc... bleh. Etc. Heh. :ahhh: lol

Sawyer said a different build of the iron sights system would be in the final game.

I've been saying this for ages now.

As to the blood and gore, regretably, from what I've seen so far, it looks like it hasn't been improved at all

Yep, it's still a world full of people who are http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/MadeOfPlasticine and full of http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/HighPressureBlood

They didn't tone it down at all. No improvement.

Not with my rank explanations anyway, lol ^_^ Just read it back and it's akin to the ramblings of the dude in Seward Square. In fourteen-hundred and ninety-two your mother and my mother were hanging up clothes... around the mulberry bush.

You explained it perfectly well, some just refuse to change their opinions no matter what. I'm afraid you'll need to explain the last part because it looks like some random poetry inserted in there

Fallout 1's violent deaths were campy and funny (partly from the graphics, and partly because it was initially unexpected ~like as if Mario suddenly chopped a Koopa into three bloody chunks); It doesn't work the same in high res and high detail.
I don't know if they can improve it while keeping the original humor (or if they've kept it so far).

He's a "sentence-should-say"? Pointing out grammatical errors as an insult is pretty pointless. Especially when you make one yourself :goodjob: Iron sights are going to be good and the gore might be a little less over the top this time around.

This thread became epic spam, flame, and is full of ignorant responses. lock it. im sick of these forums where attempting to have legitimate conversations is impossible because people are too busy either insulting you in some senseless way over the internet on a fallout forum or making ignorant responses to everything you say and just saying your wrong instead of trying to talk about it. Some mod just lock this thread.

They don't answer to your beck and call. And if you're refering to me you seriously need to reread what I said because I didn't flame you at all. And nothing I said was senseless or ignorant :glare:

It's funny how everything is say refers to you. And if you request a lock and they see it they will lock it. grow up.

Whos being senseless and ignorant now? A seemingly needless comment telling me to grow up for no apparent reason. Clever.

Good. If you're incapable of normal conversation then there is no point to you replying. It's a shame really, it could have been a good debate.

lol, ragequit

I was watching a video that somebody posted on here about the e3 demo and i saw him lookin through the iron sights and i was like wait. the crosshair (from fallout 3) is STILL there. and it does NOT match up with the iron sight. so is the iron sight purely physical looks and you actually have to aim with that crosshair? or does the crosshair just stay there and u still use the iron site. if you wanna check for yourself go with the LMG part of the vid. the crosshair is above the iron site, not where u would be aiming with it. Does anyone know for sure?

And the blood/gore effects in falllout 3 were really subpar. the gore from body parts looking like cranberry sauce, and blood that came out of enemies, especially when using that melee weapon from the pit, looked like i was playing the first DOOM game. do we know if this has been updated as well?

Going back to the first post, as many people have restated, the iron sights from the demo were not the final cut iron sights. I'm sure they are still refining the ADS function of the game, and when the game comes out, I'm sure no one who understands the concept of an RPG will be disappointed(not saying anyone on this topic does not understand).

And the gore? Well, I remember hearing somewhere(maybe in my Fallout 3 "making of" video included in the collector edition) that the Fallout universe had a very distinct and subtle humor, interwoven into the games. So I think the unrealistic blood and dismemberment representations are intentional(*ahem* Bloody Mess) and are going to stay in Fallout.

I'm not trying to resurrect a "dead" thread. And I don't see a marking anywhere to indicate a "dead" thread(maybe I don't know my way around this forum as well as you) I was just trying to add to the original post, not to insult.

u obviously read my posts so u saw i wanted this thread dead and locked if possible, 2 i have to give credit for that actualy constructive conversation u sparked after 3 pages of useless thread, i wish u wouldve been here along time ago, and if u didnt mean to insult what could that possibly mean? your just asking for trouble posting something like that. (yeah i should take my own advice). Now allow this thread to die. Thanks again.

The thread isn't old enough to be dead and resurrected, and you can post what you like. He most certainly doesn't know his way around better than you.

I have to continue to address your questions about my intentions. It seemed to me that you got agro by my response, and I'm not sitting here trolling, and I didn't want to seem like a troll, so I tried to even things out by being sincere.
