Questions on Exporting Armor Model

Hi Everyone,

I wanted to know if anyone could help me with the following questions regarding exporting a new Armor Model form 3dsMax and Gmax.

1) I got my new chest armor model to work fine by creating it in Gmax. But for some reason when I import it in 3dsMax and export it again it doesn't appear on my character in-game...

I didn't change anything from Gmax to 3dsMax... I made my mode, skinned it properly with bone envelopes, named my track view to the name of the body part in CS and also manually connected my model to Bip01...
I did all of that in Gmax and it works if I export it from Gmax, but If I import in 3dsMax and then export to game from 3ds it doesn't appear in-game....

Anybody knows why? The reason i'm asking is that I like working textures better in 3dsMax and other things too but had started this model on Gmax....


2) Is it possible to have a one piece 3d Model with Multi-Materials to work in Morrowind? I have this one piece chest Armor that appears fine in-game if I texture it with one (1) Texture materials, but If I had a second material to it and export it, it doesn't appear in game.... For example selecting all polys from the front of the chest armor and applying a Texture and then doing the same for the rear polys.... Since that doesn't work when I export, I have to use UVW Map with Cylindrical effect all around the model with only one Texture bmp.
